The ITU and USTTI training serieson “Technologies, Strategies and Policies to Connect the Unconnected: Empowering Women Leaders to Bridge Digital Divides and Promote Inclusive Connectivity” was launched and rolled out.
Her Digital Skills, a movement launched by EY, ITU, W4 and GSMA, aims to have 1 million women and girls ready for a career in STEM by 2026.
UN Women, ITC and ITU also pledged a collective commitment to increase the visibility business and digital skills, mentoring and networking opportunities for 10,000 women leaders and entrepreneurs in the tech sector by 2026.
The Equals in Tech Awards received 154 nominations from 56 countries. The Awards ceremony took place in December.
In 2022, a policy handbook on how to mainstream gender in digital policies will be published. EQUALS activities on the ground will be implemented in 10 countries.
