• ITU-ILO joint programme, Decent Jobs and Enhancing Skills for Youth in Africa’s Digital Economy, supported by the African Union, expanded assessments and activities in six initial countries (Rwanda, Kenya, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, South Africa) with new pilot activities also implemented in Ethiopia. The overarching goal of this partnership is to increase the number of young Africans in target countries able to access decent work in the digital economy.
  • An ITU-ILO Digital Skills Supply and Demand Assessment Framework was developed with an initial review commenced in Nigeria and South Africa. Other countries will follow in 2022 as funds are raised.
