Key Insights

The Academy Training Centres (ATC) network was launched. 13 centres gathered in Geneva, Switzerland, for their first global annual meeting to share best practices, strengthen collaboration and explore avenues for innovation in curriculum development.

During the year, the ITU Academy ran 115 courses with over 2700 people certified. The Academy now has a total of over 44000 users.

The third Global Digital Transformation Centres (DTC) Workshop took place in Cebu City, Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Information and Communication Technology. At the workshop representatives from the DTCs shared experiences and best practices.

Six DTCs — Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines and Zambia — conducted DTC train-the-trainers programmes on basic and intermediate digital skills. The DTC in Zambia organized two stakeholder engagement activities.

The total number of participants trained by DTCs in the first half of the year was 61782.

Training sessions were organized in collaboration with DTC partners: they include, train-the-trainers session on the HP-LIFE global programme in English, French and Spanish; an information session on “Digital Literacy, Productivity and M365 trainer resources”; and an orientation session on Digital Skills Foundation digital skills passport programmes.
