The second edition of the Greening Digital Companies report produced with the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA), Greening Digital Companies 2023: Monitoring Emissions and Climate Commitments, documents the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and energy use of 200 of the world’s leading tech companies. It also serves as a resource for the companies themselves to learn from best practices to improve their emissions reduction performance and accelerate the achievement of net-zero operations.

The Dominican Republic approved the Regulation for the Integrated Management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment – the result of more than a year of joint work between ITU, INDOTEL and the Ministry of Environment.

The project Developing and Implementing E-waste Policy and Regulation for a Circular Economy, in collaboration with the Communication, Space and Technology Commission of Saudi Arabia, was launched in Zambia to develop and roll out national e-waste regulation based on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). Rwanda and Paraguay will follow in 2024.
