تصف التوصية ITU-T G.800 المعمارية الوظيفية لشبكات النقل التي تستخدم تبديل الدارات الموجه للتوصيل (CO-CS) وتبديل الرزم الموجه للتوصيل (CO PS) وتبديل الرزم بدون توصيل (CL-PS) على نحو مستقل عن التكنولوجيا.
ويحدّث التصويب 1 الفقرة 8.2.3 لبيان أن وصف منفذ إعادة الإرسال الطرفي ينبغي أن يكون نمط منفذ، وليس نقطة.
