La Recomendación UIT-T G.9701 especifica una tecnología de acceso en banda ancha a velocidad de gigabit que explota la infraestructura de cables de pares existente, originalmente destinada a los servicios de telefonía tradicional (POTS). Los equipos conformes con esta Recomendación pueden desplegarse desde los puntos de distribución alimentados por fibra (fibra al punto de distribución, FTTdp) ubicados muy cerca de los locales del cliente. La Recomendación UIT-T K.118 contiene la información necesaria para proteger el nodo punto de distribución en la red de acceso y el equipo asociado ubicado en los locales del cliente. Incluye información sobre los requisitos de inmunidad del equipo, la categoría de la protección contra el rayo cuando es necesario instalar la protección y la forma de instalar esa protección. |
