Las antiguas instalaciones en interiores, diseñadas para la transmisión de voz, son responsables de las averías intermitentes y la degradación del comportamiento, en términos de caudal, cuando se utilizan para aplicaciones de banda ancha. Muy a menudo, el empleo de cableado más antiguo no es posible teniendo en cuenta las necesidades actuales. El cableado estructurado es una solución que permite una transmisión en banda ancha fiable y el acomodo de unos servicios de información y comunicación cada vez más variados, tales como Internet de velocidad súper-alta, videocomunicaciones, protocolo de transmisión de voz por Internet (VoIP), vídeo por demanda (VoD), televisión por protocolo Internet (IPTV), seguridad, telemedida, etc. Se presentan las arquitecturas del cableado en los locales de abonado y en los edificios residenciales. En [ISO/CEI 11801] y en [UIT-T L.75] se indican los parámetros y los requisitos eléctricos pertinentes. Los objetivos de la Recomendación UIT-T L.76 son: presentar las arquitecturas de red en interiores generales, recomendar el cableado estructurado como una solución para las implementaciones de red en interiores y definir los requisitos de las redes de cobre en interiores. |
