В Рекомендации МСЭ-Т G.9711 определена технология многогигабитного широкополосного доступа, в которой используется существующая инфраструктура проводных пар и коаксиального кабеля, первоначально развернутая для услуг традиционной аналоговой телефонной службы (POTS). Оборудование, с помощью которого реализуется настоящая Рекомендация, может быть развернуто в распределительных пунктах на основе волоконно-оптической линии (волоконная линия до распределительного пункта, FTTdp), расположенных в непосредственной близости от помещений клиента, или в зданиях, включая MDU и коммерческие объекты (волоконная линия до здания). В настоящей Рекомендации поддерживается асимметричная и симметричная передача с совокупной скоростью передачи данных по сети до 8 Гбит/с по металлическим проводам с использованием до 424 МГц спектра, определены все необходимые функциональные возможности, поддерживающие подавление перекрестных помех на дальнем конце линии (FEXT) и перекрестных помех на ближнем конце линии (NEXT) между несколькими проводными парами.
В Поправке 1 (2022 г.) введены следующие уточнения или исправления:
– DBR-PT и двунаправленная DBR для содействия ускорению DBR;
– диагностика и мониторинг DTA;
– объекты PSD нисходящего потока, общие для всех линий в группе P2MP;
– запрос конфигурации кадра восходящего потока;
– поддержка DTFO в TDMA/FDMA P2MP.
В Исправлении 1 (2022) исправлены:
– OLR типа 1 и типа 2;
– поля PCS-LCM в DBR-PR;
– сообщение O-SIGNATURE иd O-PMD в п. 12;
– сообщение O-SIGNATURE и O-MSG в Приложении X;
– аспекты LCM-PCS, связанные с RPA, RTS и малым количеством битов на символ.
