This specification has been developed by Broadband Forum and is referenced by the ITU-T without change. G.9806 Am1 includes requirements to provide the priority based class of services over PON defined in TR-156. Detailed architecture aspects of TR-156 address higher layer issues go beyond the scope of G.9806 Am1 but are mandatory to perform any implementation test and interoperability assessments.
