Summary:

In traditional hospitals, there might be some issues to be improved, such as low efficiency of medical care, poor service experience of patients and lack of management efficiency. Smart hospital is a new concept to provide digital medical treatment by automatic and remote services based on information and communication technologies, e.g. prevention and diagnosis of illness, treatment and nursing for patients.
Smart hospitals have demands for high-precision positioning, and the service quality guarantee of all kinds of local services, which may require network capability exposure to support the mentioned requirements. With the support of network capability exposure, some new services such as high-precision positioning can be provided and better service experience can be achieved.
This recommendation provides the functional architecture and functional entities of network capability exposure for smart hospital based on Internet of things. Related use cases are provided in the appendix.
