Summary: Every year in Antarctica, many researches are conducted in various fields and a large amount of data is collected. Antarctica's climatic characteristics and lack of communication resources make the collection of these data very difficult. In order to secure cooperation and reliability of scientific and technological data collection in extreme cold regions such as Antarctica, remote wireless sensor networks (WSN) are interconnected and used through long fat networks (LFN). There is a need to provide Internet of Things (IoT) telemetry services to automate permafrost research data collection in Antarctica. An opportunistic technique called delay tolerant networking (DTN) should be applied to send collected data in bulk data transmissions when a communication link is available. Due to this process, network congestion, packet loss, and adversarial attacks may occur. It will help a lot to provide requirements and functions to find the best option in use cases to achieve collaboration and reliability in scientific data collection in an extreme network environment, taking into account human factor interactions and even social relationships. This Recommendation introduces secure human factor services of Antarctica researches. In order to support secure human factor services of Antarctica researches, it reviews use cases and proposes requirements, and then introduces components and characteristics for secure human factor services of Antarctica researches.
