Summary: Family health refers to the health status of family members, including aspects such as physical health, psychological health, social health, environmental health. This involves not only the individual health of each family member but also more than just the sum of the individual health of family members. It includes the quality of their interactions and support for each other, as well as the environment and social background in which they live together. The state of family health can be used to assess the overall health level of a family, playing a crucial role in maintaining and promoting health. The World Health Organization (WHO) places great emphasis on family health, viewing it as an important aspect of public health work. WHO recognizes the family as the basic unit of society, playing a key role in promoting health and preventing disease. WHO highlights the importance of the family as a support system in society, as well as its role in promoting healthy lifestyles, providing emotional support, education, and the socialization process. WHO published an introductory guide for the family health nurse in Europe in 2001. Family health assessment is an important part of the work of family nurse, but due to technological constraints, they can only accomplish their work through offline survey. With the development of technology, more and more technological means of health monitoring have appeared, and most of them focus on personal health. A few others used for family health still have significant limitations, such as device redundancy, data discrepancies, independent health information and lack family-oriented health guidance. Therefore, there is a need for a family health service platform that provides comprehensive, continuous, coordinated, personalized, and sustainable health support and interventions within the family environment. The platform aims to monitor and manage the physical, social, psychological and environmental health of family members in real time. It has following functions: – Health assessment: Assessing the health status of individual members of the family, as well as the health status of the family as a whole, which includes but not limit to physical health, mental health, maternal and child health, children and adolescent health, etc. – Disease management: Tracking and management of the disease, especially diseases that are strongly influenced by family factors, such as genetic diseases. – Health alert: Early warning of possible diseases or other events that may cause health risks by monitoring and analysing data on multiple aspects of family health. – Health support: Including the promotion of healthy lifestyles, support for mental health and guidance on government health policies, etc. – Public health response: Announcement of major public health events to help families understand and respond positively to them. This platform can help family members to increase health awareness, improve health behaviours, promptly discover and manage health issues, and enhance public health response capabilities. This not only helps to improve the health and well-being of family but also has significant implications for building a healthy society, enhancing public health standards, and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
