Recommendation ITU-T G.8275.1/Y.1369.1 contains the ITU-T precision time protocol (PTP) profile for phase and time distribution with full timing support from the network. It provides the necessary details to utilize [IEEE 1588] in a manner consistent with the architecture described in Recommendation [ITU‑T G.8275].
Amendment 1 incorporates the following updates:
Clarifications on some dataset members use in the dataset comparison algorithm,
Update PTSF functionality to include monitoring ports,
Clarify the setting of the frequencyTraceable flag,
Clarify defaultDS.deviceType,

Amendment 2 incorporates the following updates:
Update FlexE in clause 6.2.3, Appendix I and Appendix J
Reporting PTP status via new TLV: update Signaling message support in Clause 6.2.2 and 6.2.8, and adding new Annex L.
Add new clockMode specification in Clause 6.2.9 and status dataset members in A.1
Add new nodeClass specification in Clause 6.2.10 and status dataset members in A.1
Add more details on clockAccuracy and offsetScaledLogVariance values in Clause 6.3.5
Add more details on PTSF in Clause 6.3.9
Add Wait to Restore (WTR) in new Clause 6.3.10, a note in Annex K, and dataset members in A.5
Traceability rephrased in Clause 6.4.
Add holdover-within-specification/holdover-out-of-specification capability, configuration and status dataset members in Clause 6.4 and A.1.
Increment profileVersion and ProfileIdentifier in Annex A.
Add “optional” tagging for dataset members in Annex A.
