Abstract :

This document contains ITU Council's contribution submitted on 1 March to the 2024 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), as per invitation extended annually to ITU's intergovernmental body by the President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Within the context of the annual theme "Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions", the input offers views, findings, research, data, and policy recommendations , as well as an Annex on the role of ICTs and ITU's contributions to goals: 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 13 (Climate Action), 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), which will be reviewed in-depth at HLPF-2024.
