Abstract :

From 27 to 31 May 2024, more than 7000 participants from 160 countries attended the WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland, (WSIS+20 Forum HLE) and addressed our digital present and future by reflecting on the impact of the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS), which took place twenty years ago in two phases in Geneva (2003) and Tunis (2005).
This is an Information Document prepared by Switzerland to bring to the attention of the Council the WSIS+20 Forum HLE's chair's summary that boils down as objectively as possible from the Chair's perspective the main points from nearly 200 sessions, including fourteen high-level talks and a Ministerial Roundtable.
