The third pillar, tunnelling the CitiVerse creates a community of practice and mechanisms to engage with city leaders, academia and industry.
Pillar 3 on Tunnelling the CitiVerse consists of 4 tracks:

Track 12
Annual Assembly
An annual meeting of Initiative members to review progress, share insights, and plan future activities.
Track 13
CitiVerse Challenge
This challenge invites developers, universities and other academic and research institutes to build their own CitiVerse demonstrations in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Challenge also connects participants (students and professionals), with industry and academia solving real-world problems. Winners can be given prizes donated by potential sponsors of the Initiative.
Track 14
Network of Cities and CitiVerse for SDGs
Facilitate the establishment of a network of cities within the Initiative, providing a platform for cities to connect, share experiences, and collaborate on virtual worlds and CitiVerse projects.
Track 15
Talent Grants Programme for Developing Countries
Travel grants will be provided to experts from developing countries to attend the Annual Training and Annual Assembly. About 10-15 fellowships will be provided worldwide.
