As a participant in ITU meetings in Geneva, how can I map my TIES directory to a network drive in the delegates' PC area?

The advantage of mapping your TIES directory while working the in the delegates' PC area is that any documents you are downloading may be saved in your TIES home directory. Should that same PC not be available the next time you are in the delegates' PC area, your files will remain in the TIES home directory and may access them from another PC by simply re-mapping the drive following the steps below.

This will also help the ITU in maintaining the delegates' PC area as temporary files downloaded during meetings have to be cleaned up after each meeting.
  1. From the Windows NT Explorer Window, select Tools.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Map Network Drive.
  3. In the Network Drive window Path box, enter \\TIES\login name where your login name is your TIES username.
  4. In the Network Drive window Connect box, enter login name.
  5. The drive letter assigned is shown in the Network Drive window Drive box.
  6. Select OK.
  7. You will be prompted for your TIES password.
  8. This will map the TIES directory to the network drive (in Step 5) of the PC.
  9. After steps 1-7 have been successfully completed, you will be able to save your work in your TIES directory.
