Arrangements for coverage of bilateral meeting

Access to the VVIP area will be available to the visual media (photographers and TV cameramen) only for the coverage of bilateral meetings, and only by invitation.

It is up to each delegation involved in such meetings to determine the size and composition of media pools, to contact the journalists they would like to invite, and to inform these journalists of the need to contact the Media Centre so as to obtain the required overpasses and arrange to be escorted to the bilateral meeting by a media liaison officer.

Delegations must, moreover, bring any planned session to the attention of the Protocol Service's press liaison attaché, who will be stationed in the VVIP area, and provide him/her with a list of the journalists invited, at least three hours prior to the start of the meeting.

Journalists not accompanied by a media liaison officer and not holding an invitation from a VVIP will be strictly barred from entering the VVIP area.
