Mr Martin Mokgware is the Chief Executive of Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA). He was appointed to the position of Chief Executive in December 2017 to lead the Regulatory authority responsible for Telecommunications & ICTs, Broadcasting and Postal matters. Martin is an Economist by profession and has served in a number of Senior Management positions at BOCRA.

Mr Mokgware is also the Chairman of the Universal Access and Service Fund (UASF) of Botswana, which position he held since September 2018. The UASF focuses mainly on connecting the unconnected population particularly in rural areas of Botswana.

Prior to being appointed CE, Mr Mokgware was the Director responsible for Broadband and Universal Services. He also served as the Director for Market Development, which dealt mostly with tariff settings and development of cost models. Martin spearheaded the development of the National Broadband Strategy for Botswana which was approved by Government as the blue print for the country to drive the digital agenda.
