Esther Peh is responsible for strategy and execution of media and emerging policy issues, such as cross-border data flows, privacy, digital services tax, online curated content, and content protection, across the Asia Pacific region. She leads regional engagements for global policy and advocacy with international organizations, including the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). Based in Singapore, she also oversees regional community engagements and has spoken and moderated at several media and policy panels. Prior to AT&T, Esther worked for the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Singapore. During domestic and international assignments, she negotiated several free trade agreements, including the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership. She also advanced Singapore’s foreign economic policy at the WTO, APEC, OECD and G20. Esther was the former Chair of the WTO Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade. She is passionate about music and books – actual hard copy ones.
