Mohamed began his career in 1998 and started to work in the area of Telecom networks and planning of Next Generation Networks in Etisalat Corporation. Since joining TRA, he was assigned various responsibilities related to Infrastructure development and Business Continuity. He played a vital role in developing different policies and frameworks related to ICT KPIs, consumer protections, Business Continuity, and different ICT development initiatives. Mohamed was also vice chairman for Study Group 13 at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for Future Networks during the period of 2008-2016.
He has a degree in Communication Engineering from Khalifa University and an Executive Master's in Business Administration.
