Linah Ngumba works at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, the National Statistics Office in Kenya. She heads the ICT Statistics Section which is responsible for conducting nationwide ICT surveys to produce ICT- related statistics on the access to and use of ICTs in different segments of society in Kenya. Ms Ngumba is also the Vice-Chair of the Expert Group on ICT Household Indicators from the International Telecommunication Union. She is the pioneer of the ICT statistics chapter in the Economic Survey Report that is widely used in Kenya for Economic performance. She also successfully pioneered surveys on the use and access of ICTs in enterprises and public institutions. She has a degree in economics and statistics and a master’s in economics from the University of Nairobi.
