Introductory workshop on creating video games with Scratch, introducing "Super Code Girl", the superheroine who will introduce us to the wonderful world of creative programming. Through this workshop, we want to encourage children and (especially) girls between 7 and 12 to approach the technology in a new, more creative and stimulating way, by programming a video game featuring Super Code Girl, a very special superheroine that will help us to achieve a "triple combo" of objectives: 1) To disseminate programming and computational thinking as fundamental competences in the digital society. 2) Combat the digital gender gap since childhood, whereby there is little representation of women in career and professional technological positions as well as positions of responsibility in those areas. 3) Combat gender roles, prejudices and stereotypes in video games.
