Description of the event
|
We invite you to join us for a very special in-person event to celebrate International Girls in ICT Day 2022 on Wednesday 27 April, bringing together women and girls in information and communication technologies (ICT) at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering in Brooklyn, New York. The theme of Girls in ICT Day 2022 is Access and Safety and is about working together on developing solutions and ideas for lowering barriers to access to ICTs and improving safety online.The event will convene young women and girls together with women technologists and other women in tech from the private sector, the UN, NGOs and academia to meet and be inspired by each other, participate in fun ice-breaker activities together, discuss the themes of International Girls in ICT Day and engage in a tech-related design thinking activity. It will feature a design thinking session designed and facilitated by Lee Kim.
