Description of the event
|
This year, the Association of Business Women in Serbia (ABW Serbia) will celebrate the Girls in ICT Day for the 12th time. ABW Serbia, the association that supports women’s entrepreneurship will organize its activities to encourage and motivate girls, students in the final grades of primary schools to choose different career opportunities in ICT, entrepreneurship or so called “male” professions, by avoiding gender stereotypes. The event is institutionally supported by the Government of RS and the Serbian Prime Minister, who is the Honorary Patron of the event, as well as by several ministries and other institutions and organizations. We will divide all events in several time units, due to the Easter and school holidays. March 24-April 17 opening the contest "Catch the idea" for the best videos made by schoolgirls including online mentoring session for girls about making the videos. April 18-21 visits of students to the companies in Serbia, ICT and women-owned and talks with women managers and entrepreneurs. April 28 announcing on ABW website and social media channels the winners of the contest. May - award ceremony for the winners of video contest in the City Hall of Belgrade
