Description of the event
|
Internet Society NGO and Internet Society Armenia Chapter organized a hybrid conference to discuss access and safety issues in the country, to present what challenges in Internet girls cope with as well as encourage them to pursue STEM education by presenting them specialised training and educational courses developed by local private companies. We invited school teachers to extend the encouraging message we share as they directly work with girls on daily basis and have a big impact on their further development.Besides, we extended our invitation to community at large and enjoyed the presence of parents as well as young participants at the event.We expected to have around 50 participants but we welcomed around 80 in-situ participants and 50 online participants. The event was very engaging and useful. After the conference, the organizers received invitations to hold such awareness raising campaign in various schools.
