Description
The main goal of the project is to assist the government of Ghana to establish its national Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) to serve as a trusted, central coordination point of contact for cybersecurity; aimed at identifying, defending, responding and managing cyber threats.
ITU will assist the government of Ghana in building and deploying the technical capabilities and related trainings necessary to establish its national CIRT. Thus it is expected to lead to development of national cybersecurity capacity while moving forward on enhancing regional and international collaboration.

Achievements The objective of this project was to assist Ghana to establish its national Computer Incident Response Team(CIRT) to serve as a trusted central coordination point of contact for cybersecurity, aimed at identifying, defending, responding and managing cyber threats.
The project was fully implemented and as a result of this project national CIRT has been established in the beneficiary country. In addition, training and customization services have also been provided to ensure good functioning of the national CIRT. The project improved overall capacity of the beneficiary country against cyber-threats.
