Centro Escolar Antares held for the second consecutive year Girls in ICT day, it is designed to encourage girls to pursue careers in ICT fields.  

The 85 students attended 3 conferences by the Technology Management Direction of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras on april 24th, they were carried out during the morning, students were taken to make a tour of the facilities of the University, during that tour they were able to meet and learn about the first Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Honduras.

The other 2 conferences students received where about Network Security, in which students learn how to use internet in a secure way, and they also received another one about The Internet of Things.

On april 27th we had 2 guests in our institution, Tiffany Portillo, a community manager who is responsible for advocating a specific brand in social networks, she thought to the girls about her work and they made a practice during the conference, the second guest was Ana Varela and ITU representative and gave a conference about why girls shoud be encouraged to pursue careers in ICT fields.
