WSIS Stocktaking Achievements and Success Stories
WSIS
Session 476
The principal role of the WSIS Stocktaking exercise is to leverage the activities of stakeholders working on the implementation of WSIS outcomes and share knowledge and experience of projects by replicating successful models designed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Knowledge Café is a dynamic and interactive space, designed to facilitate collaborative discussions and the exchange of ideas among participants seated around round tables. While these discussions will address various topics, the objective is to share insights and perspectives on the importance and value of this globally recognized international repository of ICT projects and initiatives, and to learn more about its achievements in 2024 and in the past 20 years, including its various databases and contests such as the prestigious WSIS Prizes.
The outcomes of this Knowledge Cafe will contribute to the overall Outcome of the WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024, which is to be considered by the decision makers in the ongoing digital governance processes. Therefore, active participation is highly encouraged.
The session will particularly benefit from the Announcement ceremony of the WSIS Healthy Ageing Innovation Prize 2024, and the presence of Mr. Tomas Lamanauskas, Deputy Secretary-General of ITU, who will be handing over the award to the winner together with Mr. Paul Vandenbroucke on behalf of the WSIS HAIP partner the Global Coalition on Ageing.
