e.oman digital strategy: a vision for a country transformation to the new area


Description

The e.oman strategy was developed as national comprehensive strategy outlining the vision, objectives and targets for developing Omani digital society, in cooperation with stakeholders, inputs of citizens, and in line with WSIS plan of action. It sets long term direction under six pillars: Society and Human Capital Development, Enhance e-Government and e-Services, Enable ICT Industry Development, Governance, Standards and Regulations, National Infrastructure Development, Promotion and Awareness. 2015 KPIs have been defined, translated into annual milestones achievable through integrated portfolio of national programs and projects with annual measurement and improvement. Currently, above 70 government entities practising e.oman strategy.
