Mexico Conectado: Internet access in schools, hospitals, government offices and other public places

Description

México Conectado is a Federal program that coordinates the Federal, State, and Municipal governments to define the broadband needs in schools, hospitals, government offices and other public places in each state. México Conectado objectives are:

• To improve the quality of public services through the use of ICT technologies otherwise unavailable without Internet access.
• To contribute to close the digital divide in Mexico by providing free Internet access to the general population.
• To achieve better economies of scale by aggregating, in the public tenders, the demand of Internet services of the three levels of government.
