WELTI BMT(Business meets Technology)

Description

Women Economic and Leadership Transformation Initiatives (WELTI) is a non-profit organisation that empowers young women between ages 14-30 on their three pillars of Economic development, Technology and health. They have in these past few years been able to impact the lives of young women in Leadership, health and entrepreneurship through the use of technology and these women have been able to start out with small businesses and also gone ahead to pursue their aspirations in leadership in their small sphere.
WELTI's flagship program called the Business meets Technology which is held annually has been run successfully since it's inception in 2016. From then till now, they have impacted 350 young women. The idea of BMT started knowing that most businesses die within the 1st-5yrs of its inception not for any fault of theirs but because they focused on the wrong things like having an official car first, hiring a professional accountant etc instead of leveraging simple technological tools to grow the business to a certain point.
