Sustainable Building E-platform


Description

Sustainable Building Platform was developed by Ministry of Housing to aid the effort of improving sustainability of residential buildings by providing quality inspection standards and improving energy and water consumption efficiency. The electronic platform utilizes user-friendly technologies to provide 3 major services: Building Quality Inspection, Existing Building Inspection, Building Sustainability Assessment. The electronic portal works as platform to connect beneficiaries to third party service provider.
The first service (Building Quality Inspection) provides a mechanism to inspect building quality through qualified and authorized quality inspectors. The program developed the quality procedures, processes and phases with partnership with internationally-known quality inspection entities to provide solid foundations for the inspection standards. The program utilizes third party inspectors to do the inspection services, all inspectors should pass tailored quality inspection program and qualification exam. The program leverages on free lancers to work as inspectors in the program. The program has worked with several insurance company to provide home insurance with affordable percent.
The second service (Existing Building Inspection) aims to facilitate the process of electronically requesting an inspection for existing residential units through qualified inspectors.
The third service (Building Sustainability Assessment) aims to provide green building rating system developed to assess operational efficiency and improve quality of considering all sustainability aspects, where the building will be rated based on credits and points achieved.
