Main Objective of the National Program on Digital Democracy is to promote and raise awareness of the benefits that citizens and various areas of society could obtain by using responsibly Internet, ICT and digital platforms. D&D International has positioned itself as the leading organization promoting digital democracy in Peru. We work closely with citizenship, with emphasis on vulnerable populations, gender and LGTBI community. We organized the First Electoral Hackathon in Peru, in March 2016 where 16% of participants were women.
The use of new technologies generates many benefits, because it allows access to public information, promotes citizen participation, promotes transparency and accountability, with a view to reducing corruption.
