Business Digital Transformation Centers

Business Digital Transformation Centers

Description

The Digital Business Transformation Centers (CTDE) are a strategy of the ICT Ministry and iNNpulsa Colombia in partnership with the main Chambers of Commerce and Guilds of the country, which aims to accompany MSMEs in the digital transformation of the processes of the chain of value of the company, through the tactical appropriation of technologies and cultural change, as a long-term strategy, which will allow them to improve their productivity and competitiveness.

CTDEs are the places where MSMEs find the necessary technical assistance and advice that will allow them to develop a successful transformation route. The process begins with a diagnosis of the digital state of the business, where the degree of technological adoption and the organizational capacity to manage the transformation are measured, and the process that has the greatest impact on the business is identified. From this diagnosis, a transformation route is formulated and implemented to improve this process, which articulates actions associated with the development of organizational enabling capacities, as well as the implementation of technological tools that enhance the business structure. The entrepreneur receives permanent support and advice throughout the year that the route implementation lasts.

Replicability

The strategy of the Digital Business Transformation Centers has two documents: the maturity model for the digital transformation and the operation manual, which describe the methodology in a structural way that facilitates the transfer of knowledge to other entities.

These documents are those used for the transfer of knowledge to business development units, when they are in the process of becoming Business Digital Transformation Centers.

The maturity model for digital transformation and its operating manual can help any consultant or company solve problems related to optimization of productive processes in the value chain. This to the extent that the model was designed in such a way that it could serve from micro enterprises to large companies, the variation would be in the recommended technologies to be implemented and the degree of deepening.

Sustainability

The project is sustainable to the extent that it is laying the foundations of the model for digital transformation in the chambers of commerce and guilds of the country and they are adopting it within their business advisory processes, understanding that digital transformation can no longer Be outside the business.

In addition, with the implementation of the strategy of the Digital Business Transformation Centers, it was found that digital transformation is not a digital challenge. The real value comes from changing the processes and mentality in organizations, while the technology in an enabler for this to happen. The current context demands more than an operational digitalization, it needs companies to rethink business models.

WSIS values promotion
