The next generation hyperscale computing infrastructure project adopts a new type of design and operation method, which is strategically located around megacities to achieve high scalability and cost-effectiveness as well as scale-effect synergies with renewable energy supplies, dedicated power distribution network substations and high-efficiency sites. In this case, the project can provide the society with infrastructures with faster delivery, lower cost, and higher performance. The project contains highly integrated professional, mission-critical infrastructures that allow for ICTs to analyze, manage, and store the most important data. Meanwhile the project brings the society unique value. Its customization, high flexibility and scalability enable the digital companies to quickly and sustainably develop their business and related needs for computing infrastructures. Meanwhile, the project can also meet the needs of the entire society for information technology, the project lead a new flag to reduce the cost of digital infrastructure as much as possible, so that information technology can provide more people with better and cost available services, contribute the wisdom to mend the digital divide, and truly create value for society.

This project is replicability. We perform end-to-end coordination of the overall operations of ICTs’ next generation hyperscale computing infrastructure project, including "server and network equipment hosting, energy procurement, infrastructure services, IT and network services," to fully understand the technological development process of the society. The solution of the project is tailor-made and cost effective to maximize the unique needs in a constantly changing business environment and a centralized, standardized, and modular next generation hyperscale computing infrastructure scenario. The solution of the project plays a role of bridge in this sense. focusing on the Chinese and the emerging economies of South Asia and Southeast Asia respectively, allowing global ICTs developing in Asia-Pacific emerging markets and the digital industry that has huge potential for development in emerging countries to realize his business layout, iterative scenarios, and customer service thorugh next generation hyperscale computing infrastructures.
As digital transformation has accelerated, there is a growing demand for carrier-neutral hyperscale computing infrastructure. The lead of the project adopts a unique site selection strategy, putting energy as a key factor. Generally speaking, most of its hyperscale computing infrastructures are located in regions with rich wind and solar resources, making it possible to fully absorb local surplus wind and solar energy. In 2019 alone, the infrastructures of the project have achieved a portfolio renewable energy mix of 37%.Meanwhile, Thanks to advances in green technology in green building, IT equipment, and cooling system, in 2019, data centers of Chindata Group in service has achieved average annual PUE of 1.21, approximately 27.5% lower than the global industry an average annual PUE of 1.67 for a data center with capacity of 20 MW or more during the same period, according to Uptime Institute, an equivalent of 173,087 tons of carbon dioxide emissions reduction.
This project has become a benchmark for sustainable development in the region. The project goes beyond clean energy procurement and energy efficiency improvement as usual, keeps testing new model to realize the perfect synergy of renewable energy and data centers by finding ways in collaboration with partners to add new renewable energy to grids around China.
