Description

ITI’s Mahara-Tech online tech platform aims at serving Arabic speakers who are passionate about tech learning. It offers a rich training content and short career awareness movies in different tech careers presented by key Arabic experts in their fields of specialization.
Specialized online content in areas that are mapped to the highest demanded ICT areas, such as cyber security; data analysis; programming using JAVA/Open Source/.Net technologies; eLearning and content development; Internet of things; cloud computing; embedded systems and quality assurance and testing.

The platform integrates technical skills and online job opportunities, as it offers: (i) specialized content related to freelancing markets, presented by a network of highly rated Arabic mentors from the freelancing community. (ii) Sharing successful stories of other freelancers from different educational backgrounds. (iii) Networking within a number of freelancing platforms, coupled with a number of tailored sessions on how to start your online careers on each of the three services.

Sustainability

Main while there is no single formula for e-learning sustainability, however we looked at factors that assure active, continuous and impactful service.
Project is ensuring the sustainability through the following pillars:
 Availing e-learning design content to be beneficial for teaching, learning and to different learners using the latest studies and standardizations for producing rich ICT Arabic content for potential skills and jobs with the support of the international and local private sector entities
 Platform concept, design and resources have proven potential to be adapted for use beyond the original environment. Every year, Information Technology Institute (ITI) is graduating around 6000 ICT calibers in the tech sector. For ITI family, this was not the dreaming of success and was not enough. Online learning has been always there, yet there has been always a cultural factor that make it second inferior option for young talents in Egypt and Arab countries, especially when it comes to tier B cities and the youth who are not convenient with non-Arabic online content.
 Embedding institutional structure policies and blended learning approach which provide immense opportunities to spread these usage and norms toward the sustainable content delivery
 Sharing content design and outreach accountability measures by internal e-learning team, produce the greatest positive impact on learning outcomes when platform demonstrate improvement
 Behind the platform’s achievement lies the continuous and governance support by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), as investing in people is an essential part of the country’s strategy, and the platform is one of the mechanisms to reach a large number of them
 Collaboration with different industry leaders is providing different directions to grab more fruits among the promising and distinguished of Arabic ICT content with a supported international and local private and Academia experts and partners


WSIS values promotion

Mahra Tech is promoting the WSIS values for freedom, equality, solidarity, tolerance, shared responsibility, and respect for nature, . - Every learner have the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge in order to understand, participate actively in, and benefit fully from, the Information Society and the knowledge economy. - Mahara- Tech is open to men, women, young and old in a non- discriminatory manner. - Female enrollment is encouraged through the social media - It is also availed across the country and through national outlets to be accessible for those who do not have internet at home - Mahara – Tech is addressing awareness and digital inclusion issues as the platform is available to all for free. Mentors and experts’ talks touch on transformations within society in an easy and simple language cutting across different barriers, in addition to the use of sign language - In Egypt, there is 21.3 million youth and 500 thousands graduates annually from Egyptian Universities. Prior COVID -19, online learning has been always there, yet there has been always a cultural obstacle that makes the second best choice for young talents in Egypt, especially when it comes to tier B cities, youth and underprivileged categories who are uncomfortable with non-Arabic technical online content and here is the high impact of Mahara - Tech - Providing online deep learning path on cutting edge technologies like Internet of Things, Mobile development, Cyber security and freelancing career walk-through English and Arabic courses and subtitled in sign language are available on the platform for everyone no age, gender or location restriction In addition, the online platform is where experts and newbies exchange concepts and ideas, job seekers and key freelancing and remote work employers exchange information and set expectations; empowering youth to compete for jobs and opportunities
