New passive IoT system for full life cycle management of industry assets


Description

This project is dedicated to overcome the communication problems of devices without battery, realize green energy-saving, low-cost, flexible deployment of IoT communication, create underlying capabilities of internet of everything with low-cost, which could help accelerate the spread of information and communication technology, and eliminate the digital divide.
The project has completed the research and development of new passive IoT communication system based on networking architecture, solving the problem of traditional RFID readers cannot be continuously networked, and realizing low-cost continuous coverage. In terms of performance, the system reception sensitivity is 10dB higher than the highest level in the industry at the present stage, and the reception distance is 5 times higher; in terms of function, based on the realization of unified operation and maintenance and diversified interface library, the management platform can complete the functions of automatic tag identification, positioning, in/out management, etc., and at the same time, alarming the loss of goods, moving violation, risk reminding, and other functions are included, which can realize efficient and convenient assets life cycle management.

Replicability

For the ability to be replicated, on the one hand, this system is compatible with all RFID tags, and communication protocols and core algorithms can be compatible with different scenarios, different amounts of asset management requirements. On the other hand, the platform is developed based on "multiple interfaces + common management capabilities + standard visualization components" , which can be deployed and implemented quickly for different scenarios. Therefore, the current product development and promotion model is highly replicable.
1、Low cost:New passive IoT system has the capability of networking deployment. For different scale of enterprises and various types of scenarios, the deployment cost is low. At the same time, it has functions such as automatic management, fault detection and optimization, etc., which can further reduce the management, operation and maintenance cost.
2、Plug and play: New passive IoT system has capabilities such as automatic networking, automatic access, etc. It can be used on power without any user action. So it is simple to operate and easy to use.
3、High compatibility: This system is compatible with all RFID tags, and communication protocols and core algorithms can be compatible with different scenarios, different amounts of asset management requirements.
4、High system openness: The platform is developed based on "multiple interfaces + common management capabilities + standard visualization components" , which can be deployed and implemented quickly for different scenarios.


Sustainability

From the perspective of project planning, this project will be carried out from 2021 to 2025. Based on the technological evolution path of new passive IoT, we are conducting research and development and application promotion of new passive IoT products with networking architecture, and are conducting requirements research and technology prediction for cellular passive IoT.
From the perspective of industrial cooperation, this project has formed a close cooperation relationship with more than 20 partners, and will further improve the system performance, introduce intelligent management and system docking capabilities based on the requirements of industry scenarios, create more efficient and convenient operation and maintenance management tools, and continue to promote the application of landing.


WSIS values promotion

With the goal of "green and low-carbon, high-efficiency, secure and reliable, agile innovation", this project actively promotes the industry to reach a consensus on the development trend of zero-power consumption, low-cost, and easy-to-deploy about digital sensing and communication technology, and creates a resilient electronic environment and communication infrastructure that can promote sustainable development and innovation of verticals. 1、Jointly with international industry organizations, hold a series of workshops with the theme of "Industry Green Development Trends and Key Technologies" to promote industry consensus on the development trend of green and low-carbon communication capabilities. 2、Promote new passive IoT requirements and application scenarios research in standardization organizations, to accelerate the formation of a global unified standard and reduce the threshold of technology development and industrial application. 3、Establish new passive IoT joint innovation center, and promote the innovation of green and low-carbon digital information and communication technologies with more than 20 partners. 4、Establish enterprise joint laboratory to jointly research and develop new passive IoT products and promote their implementation. 5、Cooperate with vertical enterprises to promote the implementation and application of new passive IoT system, verify the application value of reducing energy consumption and improving management efficiency, and create a benchmark case.
