ANGOLA ONLINE PROJECT


Description

The project is an initiative of the National Center of Information Technology - CNTI, approved
by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MTTI) and has as main
objective the Social and Digital Inclusion of the Angolan society, therefore leading information
and communications technology for the neediest communities.
The project is framed in the Executive of the guidelines identified in the National Development
Plan 2013-2017 which regards with the integration of young people into working life by
implementing programs adjusted to the needs to use new information technologies for access to
culture and entrepreneurship.
The coverage areas Wi-Fi allows anyone with a wireless or card device (PC, Smartphone, Tablet,
etc.) to access and surf the internet for a period of 2 hours per day in every public spot. In the
short term it is expected to reach a point of 60,000 connected devices per month and assemble up
around 15 or 30 access points per province.
