Description *
The Russian Public Initiative is e-petition platform for the public presentation and balloting of proposals from Russian citizens, which provides the consideration of supported proposals after approval of the expert working group with participation of members of the State Duma, the Council of Federation, NGO’s community. RPI is an important component of Informational society and e-governance development programmes in Russia. The aim of the RPI is the ability to strengthen democracy by promoting citizens’ participation and engagement in political affairs, to promote greater transparency, as well as to pay the attention of authorities on society problems.
