Directorate of ICT Empowerment, Directorate General of ICT Application, in 2009 launched the Safe and Wise Internet education program that in 2013 strengthened its name into INCAKAP (Internet Cerdas Kreatif Produktif / Smart Creative Productive). This multistakeholder program aims to encourage communities, educational actors, teenagers, students, parents, teachers, and information activists as well as local governments to participate in educating and utilizing the Internet by way of the INCAKAP pillars: - Smart: Utilizing the Internet in a good sense, following the digital literacy framework as well as the prevailing the laws. - Creative: Developing innovative products and services to provide benefits and added value to the national digital economy. - Productive: Producing as many positive content and useful creations as possible for self-development and wider community. In disseminating INCAKAP program, MCIT uses a group communication approach, i.e. resource persons who explain about safe and convenient Internet usage to the group through seminars. The message to the audience also delivered by educative methods, exposing opinions and experiences as well as delivering data and facts about the positive and negative impacts of Internet usage.
