Family Planning
Women in Bangladesh, especially young women those who are residing in hard-to-reach areas unable to realize their reproductive rights and receive quality reproductive health care because of limited access to contraceptive services. Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio & Communication (BNNRC) in partnership with nine Radio Stations has been implementing the project titled, “Family Planning in Bangladesh- Improving Quality & Access” to improve and increase awareness of community people for increasing uptake of quality Family Planning (FP) services by the women & men including adolescent and newlywed couples in Bangladesh towards reducing child & mother mortality rate through Community Radio program. To increase the availability of high-quality contraceptive services; educate and empower women to access the reproductive health care to which they are entitled; and advocate at the local & national level for improved reproductive health services. The project giving emphasizes reaching un-served and undeserved populations, particularly adolescents and newly married women through Community Radio program.
