Team Startup Colombia
El Team
As a part of the the national government's strategy for the strengthening and the promotion of the digital economy and the technology-based business, the MINTIC created the Startup Team. This initiative, composed of 16 digital ventures, that seeks to create a space for discussion around the new digital revolution and to strengthen the internationalization process with the support of Procolombia (National entity in charge of promoting exports and foreign investment in Colombia) . This is a team composed of 16 digital ventures that were selected based on their good practices, achievements, sales and growth rate and immersion in new markets. The team start up is composed by entrepreneurs that have achieved more than 830 million Colombian pesos (Aproximately USD$ 282.000) in sales, reached users in more than 122 countries around the world and presense in 14 countries around the world. In general, terms these are referents at a national and international level. Through Team Startup, new educational models based on inclusion and quality criteria are promoted for all people. This is the case of Platzi, a startup with an online educational offer on tools for digital development that has benefited to more than 470,000 students worldwide. On the other hand, the 1DOC3 platform for health issues, allows to doctors and specialists to obtain online answers regarding to health concerns 24 hours a day, attending to more than 40 million queries with more than 1.5 million active users per month. Another case is Hogar, which has allowed to find a job in domestic services to more than 500 woman that live in situations of vulnerability. In the same way, to to find a job a job to more than 8.000 people which are currently working as urban messengers, due to a a rate of 350 new messengers employed per monthly. Finally, MoviliXa - Transmisit shows the fastest routes between stations by having information related to the schedules, the number of stops your route. Currently it has obtained more than 2,500,000 downloads, thus contributing to create safe, available and affordable transport systems.
