Description *
ConVerTIC is a project that promotes access, use and appropriation of ICT in the community with visual impairment and low vision. The foregoing through several lines of action: the first is the delivery of a free national licensing of the programs JAWS (Software screen reader) and MAGIC (software that extends up to 16 times the size of the letters on the screen and allows to vary color and contrast). The second line is a digitally alphabetizing the blind population, family, caregivers and teachers in accessible technologies. And finally encouraging the implementation of web accessibility standards in public and private entities through training in the Colombian Technical Standard (NTC) 5854, in order to make the content of the website accessible to people with visual disabilities.
