Spectrum Policy and Planning

Introduction

The authority is responsible for monitoring and inspecting the use of radio communication. Telecommunications Regulatory Authority together with Ministry of Transport have made spectrum policy and planning.

Legislation

The country uses telecommunication law for the distributing, licensing and collecting fees of radiocommunication.

Radio Frequency Register

The spectrum allocation and policy plan defines the overall principles of the spectrum management policy in Bahrain. Based on all the responses to the consultation from stakeholders in Bahrain, the TRA and MoT outline in this document the decisions on the allocation and assignment of spectrum in each frequency band and for the main telecommunications applications.
