ITU now has 15 offices beyond headquarters, following the addition of our South Asia Area Office and Innovation Centre in 2023.
Transformation roadmap
ITU needs to be fit for the rapidly evolving future. Change management is crucial for successful outcomes and long-term sustainability. ITU is actively fostering internal culture change to invigorate staff and ensure organizational excellence in the years ahead. One in eight staff members has officially become a ChangeMaker, with two-thirds of them having graduated from training in 2023. As the programme continues, many are applying structured change-management methodologies to ITU-specific change cases.Learning labs
Our innovative learning initiative gives ITU staff hands-on experience with new and emerging technologies. One engaging session with external cybersecurity experts gave us a hands-on timely exercise in how to respond to a cyber incident.Townhalls

The ITU budget is funded mainly through member state contributions, complimented by fees for various products and services. Our new partnership and resource mobilization strategy will seek deeper collaboration with development agencies, the private sector, foundations, and philanthropic institutions, aiming to strengthen both our regular budget and extra-budgetary revenues.

Our hands-on manual will guide newly appointed diplomats in Geneva in their day-to-day dealings with ITU, including protocol services and event organization at ITU Headquarters. Learn more
