This Recommendation describes a fast solution for mapping underground networks, necessary to plan the execution of work using trenchless or digging techniques and to optimize the path thus avoiding the risk of damage to both the existing infrastructures and the drilling equipment. This Recommendation gives advice on general requirements about this solution and the output of utility maps.
