– 149 – (6.2 – United Nations and other organizations) R 193 Convention on privileges and immunities of the specialized agencies (C-1950, last amended C-1984) The Council, considering a) that the Union has accepted the Convention on privileges and immunities of the specialized agencies; b) that the question of the conflict between the provisions of Article IV, section 11, of the above-mentioned Convention, on the one hand, and the definition of Government Telegrams and Government Telephone Calls given in Annex 2 to the International Telecommunication Convention, on the other, still remains unresolved, recognizing that this question of conflict is the subject of Resolution 40 of the Plenipotentiary Conference, Nairobi, 1982, requests the Secretary-General 1 to keep up-to-date and communicate to all States Parties to the said Convention in respect of the Union, and to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the names of the officials to which the provisions of Articles VI and VIII of the said Convention apply; 2 when a conference or meeting of the Union is held in a State Party to the Convention in respect of the Union, to take the necessary steps to remind all Union Members of the provisions of Article V and to provide the representatives of Members with a document declaring their right to these privileges and immunities.
