DESCRIPTION OF THE SESSION
This session will provide introductory level knowledge on Incident Response, including importance, objectives and steps in IR, as well as the types of incidents. Participants will be familiarised with an example of responding to incidents and will take part in an exercise to apply the learnings into practice.

SPEAKERS INFORMATION
Sharifah Roziah Mohd Kassim
is a Specialist for Malaysia Computer E
mergency and Response Team (MyCERT) under the umbrella of CyberSecurity Malaysia, an agency under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, Malaysia. Sharifah has been involved in computer security and cyber security field for over 20 years, with special interest and focus in Computer Security Incident Response and Cyber Threat Intelligence. She is an author of many Security Advisories and Alerts on latest vulnerabilities and cyber threats, as well as articles and academic research papers. Currently, Sharifah is in 3rd year PhD in Computer Science at the School of Computing, University of Kent, United Kingdom, with research focus in cyber security.
