DESCRIPTION OF THE SESSION
In the context of the Women in Cyber Mentorship Programme, ITU, FIRST and EQUALS have the pleasure to present the first Women in Cyber Inspirational Keynote of 2022!. These public events are part of the INSPIRE series of the programme, aiming to spotlight well-known and engaged women cybersecurity professionals across the globe, hence promote role models and the perception of female role models as valuable additions to the Cybersecurity workforce.
As our first speaker, Carmen Marsh will focus on the value that gender inclusion brings to the cybersecurity sector and provide the audience with insights from her experience in leading inclusion programmes in cybersecurity.

SPEAKER INFORMATION
Ms. Carmen Marsh
is an internationally recognized cybersecurity entrepreneur, educator, and speaker. In 2019 she launched the only tuition free fast track upskilling program called ‘100 Women in 100 Days Cybersecurity Career Accelerator' with funding from Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist & Craig Newmark Philanthropy.
Carmen has also created an international spotlight for highlighting the female cybersecurity role models with the first ever Cybersecurity Woman of the Year Awards GALA in Las Vegas in 2019, during Black Hat conference. Each year, women from across the world get recognized for their achievements in the field of cybersecurity.
In 2021, Carmen was awarded the "Cybersecurity Role Model of the Year 2021" by the Top Cyber News Magazine and was recognized as the Cyber Hero & Change Agent 2021 by SynED. She also received an international award as Direction Executive ou Entrepreneure: Europe 2021 by CEFCYS - Cercle des Femmes de la CyberSécurité. Carmen graduated from University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
